Hi, I’m Sabrina, the artist of Dragonfly Orchid Studio. I paint predominately in two mediums: acrylic paint and colored pencils. I love to explore new media, however, so, from time to time, there will also be paintings available that were created with other mediums. Currently, I have pastel paintings and prints from iPad paintings, in addition to the acrylic paintings and colored pencil paintings I have available for purchase. For the iPad paintings I use an app called Procreate where I work very similarly to how I paint with acrylic on canvas. These paintings are not computer generated; I paint one stroke at a time on the screen with an Apple pencil using “brushes” I’m able to select from the app. The finished paintings are then printed on beautiful Hahnemuhle cotton rag paper that gives a stunning result. Until recently prints from my iPad paintings were the only prints I offered. In 2021 I added a small collection of limited edition prints from my pastel originals.
