Colored Pencil

Colored Pencil Paintings

I was inspired by the Zimbabwean wildlife artist Lindsay Scott to use colored pencil as a fine art medium. When I saw her work online for the first time I went right out and bought just the Prismacolor pencils I needed to paint a leopard I found in a book. The process was so gratifying and delightful that I was hooked. Since then I’ve been collecting colored pencils from all the professional brands. Painting in colored pencil is the most intuitive of my painting mediums. I enjoy creating a hyper-realistic finished image and colored pencils allows me to achieve that better than anything I’ve tried so far. Watch this page for new exciting compositions in a fun style.
