When we moved to India in 2022, I started exploring watercolor. And as luck would have it, I discovered Mission Gold watercolors at a local art supply store. Working in these paints were a revelation for me. As a transparent medium, watercolor requires opposite thinking from acrylic, an opaque medium. Circumstances (a temporary living situation) deprived me of setting up to work in acrylic, so in a way I was forced to delve into watercolor as never before. And I’m now so glad for that! For most of 2022, I worked almost exclusively in watercolor, taking my supplies everywhere we traveled as well as in my home studio. Slowly but surely, I started to see some results I was pleased with. Look for more watercolor paintings to come in 2023.
